my dad, paul k., is a fabulous cook. it’s been a life-long passion for him…well, at least back as far as i can remember!
athough i am living 3000 miles way from my mom and dad, who live in florida, i STILL get overwhelming cravings for dad’s meaty lithuanian stuffing, homemade, long-cooking spaghetti sauce with fennel seed-seasoned beef meatballs, his PIZZA, his red-skin potato salad, his stuffed cabbage, and…jeez, the list really goes on and on. the man has the magic touch!
dad’s the kind of guy who really relishes cooking, trying new things, and mixing up old recipes to suit his taste and the taste of our family at large. to dad, cooking is an art. eating and drinking are labors of love…both the love of food itself, and the love inherent in feeding one’s family and friends. he’s all about the hearty, heartwarming food, and he does it exceptionally well.
when i think of dad, i think GOOD FOOD, and that’s a GOOD THING (TM).
